Mishima-tei Sukiyaki
Mishima-tei Sukiyaki in Kyoto. This is the best sukiyaki you will ever have!
Open in 1873 Mishima-tei has helped introduce meat dishes to japan. They are a full service meat market and restaurant.
The cooking starts with heating sugar in a cast iron pan.
The meat is added and then a soy sauce base sauce.
Let cook and then dip in raw egg.... mmmmm good.

Keibunsha - Kyoto
Keibunsha is a bookstore, gallery and craft store. They sell hand crafted items as well as items from around the world. The most of the books are about art, design and culture. I could spend hours here.
We bought some dead stock retro glasses, cute matchboxes and hand crafted chopsticks.

I have never paid this much for a trash can but this one was worth it.
The trash can is from Simple Human.
