Last Sunday we had lunch at the Bread Bar, I had the club sandwich.

Mr. Baguette

Mr. Baguette in Rosemead, French-Vietnamese sandwiches. I had the grilled chicken and iced milk coffee. Strong coffee and good food!

Sawtelle Kitchen

Sawtelle Kitchen is back open after a remodel. I had the calamari steak (ika-fry). Food is great, new service staff needs some work.

Omellet Rice

gr/eats version of omellet rice or omurice. It's a nice take on the Japanese dish.

Mishima-tei Sukiyaki

Mishima-tei Sukiyaki in Kyoto. This is the best sukiyaki you will ever have!



Open in 1873 Mishima-tei has helped introduce meat dishes to japan. They are a full service meat market and restaurant.



The cooking starts with heating sugar in a cast iron pan.



The meat is added and then a soy sauce base sauce.



Let cook and then dip in raw egg.... mmmmm good.

Triton Cafe - Kobe

Triton Cafe in Kobe. It is a gallery, store and cafe. I had a great taro potato risotto.

Nakatanaka - Fukuoka

Nakatanaka - Fukuoka
Great little restaurant in Fukuoka, Japan. You choose 2 items from a list on the menu and it comes with all you can eat rice and soup. I had the fried shrimp and chicken nanban (fried chicken with a tartar sauce). All for about $7.50 (u.s.)

Kodomo no nomimono (kid's drink). Here is a drink in Japan for the kids who want to enjoy a beer with the adults. It's a carbonated drink that taste like carbonated sweet flat beer.... mmmm?
